Car insurance prices differ from one insurer to insurer. Typically, prices are determined by claim history over time, however with all factors being equal, a female drivers will generally pay less than male drivers. The reason for this is because female drivers have fewer accidents and traffic violation than male drivers.
In addition to that maledrivers on the average drive more than females. The more you drive the more risk you are to the company because of high probability of being involve in an accident. Also, male drivers get more moving violation tickets than female counterparts because they are more risk takers.
Although gender affects car insurance rates, there are other factors taht is being considered by car insurance companies such as traffic violation, marital status and driving history.
