Reader’s Question:
Is female auto insurance really cheaper than male auto insurance?

All things considered, female auto insurance could really turn out to be cheaper than male auto insurance. Statistically, female drivers register less car accidents or traffic violations than male drivers. Speculations have been made about the reasons behind this, and many people believe that male drivers like more adventure than female drivers do. They say that male drivers tend to like being on the dangerous side (over speeding or racing are good examples of this), while female drivers like it better when it’s safe. Aside from this, male drivers drive more frequently than female drivers do. These are probably the reasons why most auto insurance companies regard male drivers as high risk drivers.
However, there are also instances when being a female driver tend to become disadvantageous. For one, when a female driver reaches a certain point in adulthood, she may be regarded as a more risky driver than a male driver of the same age. This is because some companies consider female drivers as having relatively fewer experiences when it comes to driving. Lack of enough driving experience may lead to higher chances of getting into accidents or committing traffic rule violations.
